It's Officially Official!

With tears in our eyes, and joy in our hearts, we stood before the Honorable Katherine White and heard the words we'd been waiting to hear for years: "It is in the opinion of this court that in the best interest of this child, she be placed under permanent custody of the aforementioned adoptive parents." Hallelujah! The paperwork, the scrutiny, the hoops, they are done. In fact, our court appearance was so brief and easy, we almost couldn't believe that was it. Judge White spoke some key phrases, gave Asha a book, and some American flag socks, we took pictures, and voila, instant finalized adoption in the state of California. What a journey....
