Family Reunion

It's Memorial Day weekend, and we are right smack it the middle of a lovely family reunion. There has been biking, a good deal of eating, swimming, music making, story telling, strawberry picking, and lots and lots of laughing. It is so wonderful to be with family, where I feel like I can just completely be myself. I am also keenly aware that a very important family member is missing: our sweet daughter. With every event this weekend, I have imagined her here, soaking up all the love and attention. I feel especially blessed to have such an amazingly loving and adventurous family to bring this girl in to. I am a little sad, because I miss her. When I feel this way, I remind myself of how lucky I am to have her to miss :)
