Home Sweet Home

We are buying a home, and are one step closer to redoing all the paperwork! We found a wonderful home in Woodland, with a sweet room for our little girl. There are fruit trees in the backyard and a lot of open space in the house. I think it will be perfect. I can't say just how relieved I will be when all of the catching up is done, and I know we are on the wait list, just waiting. This is such a thrilling and crazy time! We have to buy a refrigerator and a washer and dryer and have our new bosses sign forms, and paint walls, and imagine a child in our space.

In late March two of my very dear friends are throwing me a baby shower! I am aware that most people wait until they have their referral, and are about to travel, before they have a shower. But I want to celebrate my prospective motherhood with the special women in my life, and since moving away from them, I am eager to reconnect. I didn't want to wait too long after our move to come back to Orange County. So we are doing this the unorthodox way, which suits me just fine! I have been unorthodox my whole life. I will post pictures of this splendid affair (I heard a rumor that there will be strawberry cupcakes, from Sprinkles, my favorite!!) and share with all of you what it was like. I am so very excited! The truth is, I've imagined being a mother my whole life. And here I am, about to have a baby shower.
